A notice of an intended application is an advertisement that must be published on the Supreme Court's Probate Online Advertising System for a period of 14 days before an application for a grant of probate, letters of administration or a reseal can be filed.
The advertisement provides beneficiaries, creditors and members of the public with an opportunity to raise disputes or make enquiries.
The advertisement must be published strictly in accordance with the Supreme Court's procedural rules. If the Registrar considers the advertisement inadequate, the Registrar may require the publication of an additional advertisement.
